National Entrepreneurship Week Program:

Financing Growth, February 27, 2009

As part of National Entrepreneurship Week, MTI, Bangor Savings, Maine Angels, SEGF and Spinnaker Trust are sponsoring Financing Growth, a program with lunch with keynote speaker Dave Shaw, founder of IDEXX Labs, a panel discussion and networking. The sponsors will present their programs along with MCED, CEI, FAME and WWC (Women, Work and Community). Time: Noon - 5:00 p.m. with networking from 4:00 - 5:00 p.m. Location: Woodlands Country Club in Falmouth. Fee: $15 for the cost of the lunch and participation in the afternoon session. MTI Seed Grant

Application deadline: February 12, 2009. Signed, complete proposals must be received by MTI at its office by 5 p.m.

Workshops: Three free workshops on March 23, 2009 (Target Tech Center in Orono from 11 a.m.-12 noon); March 25, 2009 (Room 213 - Abromson Center at USM Portland from 9-11 a.m.); and  March 26, 2009 (MTI in Gardiner from 1-2 p.m.). To register, please call or email Linda Adams at 582-4790 x206; ladams@mainetechnology.org to register.

Development Awards 

Application deadline: June 1, 2009. Signed, complete applications must be received by MTI at its office by 5 p.m.

Maine Technology Asset Fund deadline for applications closed on January 21, 2009. MTI received 50 applications requesting a total of $110 million for the balance of this fund, $20 million. The MTI Board expects to announce awards in early June.

Cluster Initiative Program

Application deadline: March 26, 2009. Applications must be received by MTI at its office by 5 p.m.

Workshops: Three free workshops, February 4 in Portland, February 5 in Orono and February 12 at MTI in Gardiner. Registration requested.
